Hard Work Doesn’t Always Show Success . . .

We’ve been working hard this week, but it wasn’t the greatest week we’ve had. Although we didn’t have great success this week, we will have success in the weeks to come. The Lord doesn’t promise immediate blessings when we work hard, but He does promise that they will come, if we faithfully continue in the right path. The Lord wants us to have faith and be patient in this world, the adversary, the devil, wants us to have immediate gratitude and a short time of happiness that eventually leaves. We need to stay faithful to our Father and His Son to stay clear of the dangers of Satan.

We have a couple of investigators that are prepared and will be baptized this month. Amanda has recently quit smoking and we’re trying to set up a time for her to be interviewed by our District Leader. Kaylee received and answer to her prayers and is solid for baptism.
I saw a picture of the sign outside a baptist church somewhere in the U.S. that said, “Don’t read and pray about the Book of Mormon. That’s how they get you.” Well… that’s true. When you read and pray about the Book of Mormon with a sincere heart and a true desire to know, you will get an answer by the power of the Holy Ghost. There are somethings that our Father in Heaven will wait to answer you for, but if it pertains to our salvation and the truth, He will not wait! He will answer you as soon as possible. We have to be prepared and willing to act on the answer we receive. We have to take down our wall of defense and swallow up our pride for Him to answer. He won’t tear down our wall, we have to tear it down. I know this is true. I’ve tested it myself and I’ve seen many others test it. It works and it will help.
